Appeals court upholds Danny Masterson's rape conviction and 30-years-to-life sentence

An appeals court has rejected Danny Masterson's challenge to his 2023 rape conviction and upheld his sentence of 30 years to life, Variety reported on 27 October 2026. The three-judge panel's 89-page ruling rejected claims that trial judge Charlaine Olmedo was biased against Scientology.
