Netflix Acquires AWOL, an Hour-Long Dramedy Series Package, in a Competitive Deal

Netflix has acquired AWOL, an hour-long dramedy (comedy-drama) series package, in a competitive situation, with more than one buyer interested, Deadline reported on 27 October 2026. The package comes from Craig Rowin, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Rowin will write the scripts. Daley and Goldstein executive produce via GoldDay Productions. AWOL is in development, a stage before filming.
