Defence Force tenders for limited drone swarm trials

The New Zealand Defence Force has issued a tender for a "limited quantity" of drones that one operator can coordinate as a swarm, meaning a group flying together under shared control. The tender, published 23 October 2026, says the drones are for experimentation and testing, not operational use or large-scale fleet deployment.
