St Helens end Nene MacDonald's contract by mutual consent

St Helens have ended centre Nene MacDonald's contract by mutual consent, before his two-year deal was due to end. The 32-year-old Papua New Guinea international joined in December to work with former Salford coach Paul Rowley. Injuries limited him to 13 appearances. Neither club nor player has yet said what comes next.
