First payments from the US$1.5 billion Anthropic copyright settlement are scheduled for the week of November 23, 2026, Publishers Marketplace reported. Authors and other copyright holders are due to receive them. The administrator will send allocation notices, meaning the amount each work receives, on or before November 13. Works with unresolved disputes wait for a later distribution.
