UK government advises households to keep three days' supplies for emergencies
The UK government's Be Ready campaign advises households to keep three days' worth of supplies at home for severe weather or cyber-attacks. The two-page guidance recommends bottled water, non-perishable food (food that keeps without refrigeration), a torch, a wind-up radio and a first aid kit. It advises building up supplies gradually on regular shopping trips to avoid panic buying.
