Environment Secretary Plans First Government Intervention in Water Price Review

Environment Secretary Angela Eagle plans to intervene in Ofwat's next water price review, directing companies on bills, costs, leaks and sewage overflows. Ofwat is the regulator that sets the charges water companies can levy on customers. The process is expected to conclude in 2029. Until now, government has not intervened in these reviews.
