Microsoft's MAI-DxO Hits 83% on Complex Cases in Simulation, Versus 36% for Physicians

Microsoft's MAI-DxO, a multi-agent system that coordinates several AI agents acting as a panel of doctors, was correct 83% of the time on complex New England Journal of Medicine cases in a simulation. Primary care doctors and general internists working alone with reference materials were correct 36% of the time. Microsoft announced the results on October 22, 2026.
