Meta's Watermark Standard Doesn't Work With Rivals, Blocking Cross-Platform Detection

Meta's Content Seal cannot read watermarks from Google's SynthID or the C2PA standard backed by Adobe, Microsoft, and OpenAI. Each system now operates independently, unable to verify content origins across platforms outside Meta's control.
