Reservoir Sues Suno and Anthropic Over AI Training on Its Songs

Independent music company Reservoir filed two federal lawsuits on 21 October against AI firms Suno and Anthropic, alleging they used its copyrighted songs without a licence to train AI models, according to Billboard. The suits cite Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi", Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" and Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach." No response from either company has been reported.
