Florida officer arrested over alleged false claims to dead man's home

Lauderhill officer Brian Louis Sguros, 35, was arrested Oct. 20 and released on $25,000 bond. Prosecutors allege he told the medical examiner he was a friend of Dennis West, a man who died in his home, and that West had no living family. They say that was untrue. He also allegedly used West's identification and forged his signature on documents.
