GM Drops Apple CarPlay Across Nearly All EVs; Phone Projection Ends in 2028

GM is dropping Apple CarPlay from nearly all of its EVs. Phone projection ends in 2028, when its Google-based infotainment system comes online. Google Built-In, documented on Cadillac's support site, supplies Google Assistant and Google Maps instead. GM's new central computing architecture debuts in 2028 with the Cadillac Escalade IQ.
