GM Drops Apple CarPlay for Nearly All EVs, Phone Projection Ends in 2028

GM is dropping Apple CarPlay for nearly all of its EVs, with phone projection ending in 2028 when its Google-based infotainment system comes online. Google Built-In, documented on Cadillac's support site, provides Google Assistant and Google Maps in its place. GM's new central computing architecture is set to debut in 2028 with the Cadillac Escalade IQ.
