Tom Cruise to receive 52nd AFI Life Achievement Award, gala set for April 2027

The American Film Institute's board of trustees announced on 21 October 2026 that Tom Cruise will receive the 52nd AFI Life Achievement Award, according to Deadline. The gala tribute is scheduled for Saturday, 24 April 2027, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Proceeds will support AFI's education and arts programmes, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
