Thure Erik Lund's 1999 Norwegian novel appears in English for the first time

Norwegian novelist Thure Erik Lund's 1999 novel *The Mystery of What Befell in the Ditch* is published in English on 20 October 2026 by independent press And Other Stories. David M. Smith translated it. It is Lund's first novel in English. The publisher says Lund was long acclaimed in Norway but considered untranslatable before this edition.
