King Charles Uses Arabic to Welcome Sultan of Oman at Windsor Banquet

King Charles used four Arabic phrases at the Windsor Castle state banquet Oct. 20 honoring Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman. He said, 'Welcome to a visitor of whom one never tires,' mixing traditional quotes with Modern Standard Arabic. He has studied the language since 2013 and greeted Qatar's emir in Arabic in 2024.
