Former Disney actor Erik von Detten sued over alleged elder abuse in gold sales

Former Disney actor Erik von Detten, known for 'The Princess Diaries' and 'Brink!', faces a California lawsuit alleging elder abuse and fraud, Variety reported. The May filing alleges plaintiffs Sheila Greenberg, 85, and Norman Greenberg, 97, spent US$2.1 million in retirement savings on gold coins, USA Today reported, and lost about US$900,000, Variety reported.
