Former Cisco and Apple Security Leads Release App to Combat AI Voice Fraud

Savi Security launched today on iOS and Android with $7 million in seed funding to detect synthetic voice and video impersonation attacks. Founders Patrick Coughlin (ex-Cisco security chief) and Ryan Coughlin (ex-Apple and Spotify) built the tool after an AI-generated fake kidnapping scam targeted their mother. Acrew Capital led the round; Magnify Ventures, TTCER, and Resolute Ventures co-invested.
