NSW's Top Prosecutor Contradicted Her Own Staff on Misleading Media Contact
A parliamentary committee found Sally Dowling, NSW's Director of Public Prosecutions, gave false or misleading evidence 14 times about her office's October 2024 media pitch to 2GB radio regarding a young Indigenous offender's sentencing. The committee voted 4-3 that Dowling authorised the contact—contradicting her testimony. A police investigation found no charges resulting from the broadcast.
