Art Basel Paris to open as planned with extra security after protests

Art Basel Paris at the Grand Palais in Paris will open Tuesday afternoon to invitees as planned, a spokesperson said. Organisers told VIPs in an 18 October email that anti-ram barriers surround the venue and extra staff patrol 24 hours daily, Artnet News reported. The move follows 17 October protests across France.
