Venezuela Opposition Reaffirms Maria Corina Machado as Leader

Venezuela's opposition alliance, the Unitary Democratic Platform, agreed at an October 18 meeting in Caracas to recognize Maria Corina Machado as its leader. Machado, who won the opposition's 2023 primary, has lived in exile since December. Since January 3, Venezuela has been led by interim President Delcy Rodriguez.
