London's Metropolitan Police said Oct. 18, 2026 that author Sarah Helm's X post, 'God help us authors who support Palestine and Palestine Action', 'did not meet the criminal threshold'. Helm is married to National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell. Palestine Action is banned in the UK as a terrorist organisation, making support for it a potential crime.
