Arriving cruise passengers to pay $7.20 border levy from 2027

Customs Minister Casey Costello announced arriving cruise ship passengers will pay a $7.20 Border Processing Levy from 1 July 2027, down from $27.14. The levy helps fund Customs border checks. RNZ reported departing cruise passengers will pay $0.71, up three cents.
