First spyware found spreading through online ads without clicks

Citizen Lab has documented AdFection, spyware that can infect phones and computers through global online ad networks. Simply loading an ad is enough, with no click or download needed. The researchers say it is the first confirmed case of government-backed spyware that works as a zero-click attack delivered by ads.
