Phones can be hacked just by showing an ad

Citizen Lab has described AdFection, spying software that can get onto phones and computers through online ads shown around the world. Just having the ad appear, like a billboard that makes you sick by looking at it, is enough with no click needed. It is the first confirmed case of government-linked spying software spread this way.
