Mexico orders platforms to block harmful content for minors

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum signed a decree ordering social media and other sites that host user posts to block under-18s from hate speech, violent extremism, sexual abuse, suicide, self-harm, harassment and explicit sexual material. Sites must add age ratings, parental controls, and more private default settings for younger users.
