Crystal Lake spares snake to reverse 1980 Friday the 13th killing

Creator Brad Caleb Kane told Deadline that in Peacock's Crystal Lake, Pamela Voorhees, played by Linda Cardellini, finds a snake in the camp pantry in episode one and frees it. Kane said the moment nods to the domesticated bull snake killed for the 1980 film. Kane said no animals were harmed in the series.
