Lachie Cowan suspended for first two games of 2027, fined $5,000

Carlton defender Lachie Cowan will miss Rounds 1 and 2 of the 2027 home-and-away season after the AFL suspended him for illicit substance use. The league found him guilty of conduct unbecoming, fined him $5,000 and recorded a notifiable adverse finding. The AFL said he must complete extra education on illicit substances.
