Netflix Confirms Layoff of About 1,000 Employees

Netflix confirmed Oct. 14, 2026 it is laying off about 6% of its workforce, close to 1,000 staff. The company confirmed the cuts to TechCrunch after the Wall Street Journal first reported them, citing an internal memo from co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters. Netflix had 16,000 full-time employees at the end of last year.
