Olivier Giroud, 40, returns to Arsenal with Lille in Champions League

Olivier Giroud returned to Arsenal for the first time since leaving for Chelsea in 2020, named on Lille's bench for the 13 October 2026 Champions League tie at the Emirates. The 40-year-old spent six years at Arsenal, playing 180 games and scoring 73 goals, and called the return "a blessing".
