Batt-Doyle sets Australian marathon record of 2:20:38 in Chicago

Izzi Batt-Doyle finished sixth at the Chicago Marathon in 2:20:38, a new Australian women's marathon record. The two-time Olympic 5000m runner cut 46 seconds from Jess Stenson's 2:21:24 mark from 2025 and improved her own best of 2:22:59 by over two minutes. She is the first Australian woman inside 2:21.
