72 Small-Scale Gold Miners Killed in Sudan Airstrikes, Legal Monitor Says

At least 72 small-scale gold miners were killed Saturday when jets hit mining sites in Sudan's River Nile state, the Khartoum-based Emergency Lawyers group reported. It said the death toll is provisional and may rise. Sudan's de facto authorities — those currently holding power — and Egypt had not commented at time of reporting.
