72 Gold Miners Killed in Sudan Air Attack, Local Group Says

At least 72 gold miners working small, hand-run sites were killed Saturday when warplanes bombed mining areas in Sudan's River Nile state, the Khartoum-based Emergency Lawyers group said. It said the count is early and may rise. Sudan's current leaders and Egypt had not commented at time of reporting.
