Reform UK would pause asylum system for five years

Reform UK said it would suspend the UK asylum system for five years if it took power. The party said new claims would be refused, live claims cancelled and claimants earmarked for removal. It said no refugee status or humanitarian protection — legal routes to stay — would be granted.
