Lebanese Army Says Israeli Tank Killed Farmer in Yater Shelling

A man checking his olive grove in Yater, southern Lebanon, was killed Oct. 11, 2026, by shelling on the village outskirts. Lebanon's army blamed Israeli tank fire, calling it a clear violation of existing agreements. With harvest season pushing civilians into open fields, the incident tests whether the June 2026 Lebanon-Israel deal can hold.
