Supreme Court to decide if states can remove noncitizens from voter rolls before elections

The Supreme Court will hear Mi Familia Unida v. Arizona, which asks whether the 1993 National Voter Registration Act prevents states from purging noncitizens from voter rolls shortly before federal elections. A win for Arizona would let states conduct removals in the weeks before elections without triggering the law's 90-day waiting period. Georgia, Texas, and other states have similar programs underway.
