Amazon's $33,000 to Labor before $2bn intelligence datacentre deal

Amazon gave federal Labor $33,000 on 26 June. Eight days later the Albanese government unveiled a $2 billion deal with AWS — Amazon's cloud arm — for three top-secret datacentres to hold intelligence data. Electoral Commission filings show a second $33,000 followed within six weeks. Coincidence, maybe. The timing will get a run in Canberra.
