Ontario removes Paul Godfrey from Order of Ontario council

Ontario has removed former Postmedia chairman Paul Godfrey from the advisory council for the Order of Ontario, the province's highest civilian honour. The government cited "false public claims" but gave no further detail. Godfrey, 87, was appointed Oct. 3, 2024, for a term to Oct. 2, 2027.
