Ontario removes Godfrey from group that picks top provincial honour

Ontario has removed Paul Godfrey, 87, former chairman of Postmedia, from the group that helps choose who gets the Order of Ontario, the province's top honour for everyday citizens. The government cited "false public claims" but gave no more detail. He was appointed Oct. 3, 2024, for a term to Oct. 2, 2027.
