Duke of Kent's private secretary dies aged 63 days after LVO appointment by King

King Charles III appointed Nicholas Turnbull, private secretary to His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent since 2019, a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order, the honour for personal service to the monarch, days before Turnbull's death on 16 September 2026 aged 63. He is survived by teenage sons Alexander and Crispin.
