PC shipments fell 20.1% to 62.7 million in Q3, IDC reports

Worldwide PC shipments fell to 62.7 million units in Q3 2026, down 20.1% from a year earlier and 9.1% from the prior quarter, IDC reported. Supply problems and higher prices were to blame, with retailers and distributors — the sales channel — hesitant to stock up while high prices hold back buyers.
