Violence erupts at French school protests in three cities

Clashes turned French high-school protests violent in Rennes, Lyon and Strasbourg on Oct. 6. Students are protesting teacher shortages, crumbling buildings and crowded classes. Student protesters set fires at at least two schools, police fired tear gas, and authorities sent in riot police. Reuters video called them the most violent school protests in decades.
