Tidal Excludes AI-Generated Music from Royalty Payouts

Tidal will automatically tag and exclude wholly AI-generated tracks from its royalty pools, removing the financial incentive for bulk uploads of synthetic filler. The move addresses a real friction point: AI-generated loops dilute per-stream payouts for human artists. Tagging also enables filtering downstream. Detection of purely AI-generated audio remains technically challenging, and Tidal hasn't disclosed its methodology.
