Few Image-Based Abuse Cases Lead to Charges in England and Wales

Police in England and Wales charged suspects in only 4.5% of image-based abuse cases last year, according to data from 39 forces. In some areas, the rate fell below 1%. Image-based abuse covers taking, sharing or creating intimate images without consent, or threatening to do so.
