Proposer of Green Zionism motion offered to testify for al-Qaeda supporter

BBC News said Lubna Speitan offered to testify for Minh Quang Pham. Speitan proposed the Green Party motion defining Zionism as support for “an ethnonationalist Jewish state”, which became policy. US papers from 2015 named her Pham’s “close friend”. Pham later admitted supporting al-Qaeda and was jailed for 40 years. The papers do not suggest she knew of his activities.
