Green motion proposer offered to testify for jailed al-Qaeda supporter

BBC News said Lubna Speitan, whose motion defining Zionism as supporting "an ethnonationalist Jewish state" became Green Party policy, offered to testify for Minh Quang Pham. US court documents from 2015 listed her as a "close friend". Pham later pleaded guilty to supporting al-Qaeda and was jailed for 40 years. Documents do not suggest Speitan knew of his activities.
