
Visa cut may breach India trade deal
Scrapping temporary graduate visas could violate Australia's trade deal with India, International Education Association chief Phil Honeywood warns, because the agreement protects post-study work rights — permission for graduates to stay and work — for Indians. A Coalition spokesperson denied a breach, saying the party would create other visa routes for some graduates.
