Opportunity Party at 7% would hold balance of power

The Opportunity Party is at 7% in the 1News Verian poll reported 6 October, which TVNZ projects as eight MPs. National on 35 MPs, plus ACT and NZ First, would have 58 seats. Labour, the Greens and Te Pāti Māori would have 54. Neither bloc reaches 61 for a majority, so the Opportunity Party would decide the government.
