Unions challenge FENZ restructure in employment authority

The Professional Firefighters' Union and the Public Service Association have filed urgent action with the Employment Relations Authority, which settles workplace disputes, to stop Fire and Emergency New Zealand's restructure, RNZ reported. The PSA says FENZ set out proposed job cuts before consulting staff, breaching its collective agreement. FENZ restarted consultation after unions called for the plan to be scrapped.
