Oregon lawsuit seeks to reverse US$45 estate sale over possible Xu Beihong scroll
John Moody filed in Oregon to reverse sale of dozens of Chinese paintings sold for US$45 to US$275 each, The Art Newspaper reported on 5 October 2026. The filing claims a galloping-horse ink scroll may be by Xu Beihong, whose works have sold for up to US$41.9m. It accuses buyers of "knowingly" exploiting the agent's failure.
